Obscure armour plates

I have an unusual vest, one of the Russian Defender 2 vests. It takes some strange plates. Two segmented plates that, used together, approximate the shape and size of a standard SAPI plate.
My question is where can I find such strange plates? I have a pair of steel plates but I don't trust steel and I'd like to upgrade to something more reliable. My current employment allows my plates, but I need more than steel. Where can I start to look?
I've attached photos for reference if anyone needs it. These are dummy plates for training. Ideally I'd like protection of equivalent level III or IV.

Treat it like a gun.

Lasers are freaking dangerous, especially high powered invisible ones...

I am very happy with it. Includes a nice little remote pressure pad. The lasers are a little bloomy and not super crisp, but i am VERY happy with it.

Easy to sight in too.
Turn on the vis laser and co-witness to your sights at your preferred distance.

I had a friend of a friend come over a couple years ago & he had a BLUE LASER that could pop a balloon. It was pretty powerful beam to be able to do that.

Not too likely. There's a good bit of overlap between the two plates.

I have and currently use much better armour. It's just nice to have options. New hires need some loaner kit too.

A cheap ish carrier and hesco lV plate setup can be had for less than $600. If you dont want steel (understandable).

A custom plate like that will cost well more than $600, especially with NIJ testing
