That's great.31 here...snowing nicely!
?Fresh Air?! All you can stand!
I moved out to the country 20 years ago. Trick or Treating kids is the only thing I really miss about living in town.95 trick or treaters last night pretty much wiped out my candy supply. I started with 103 bars, ate 1, gave two to 4 different kids for various reasons, gave 3 to adults who asked for one even though they don't count as younglings who should be out for candy (except at heart, I suppose) and that leaves me with 2 to feed my diabeetus (Damn you, Wilford Brimley!).
When you give away candy bars like that, you get some interesting reactions. Some left without a word but looks of shock on their faces. A couple were in pain because their parents immediately confiscated it. Several told me "This is my favorite house!" or some variation thereof.
I even got one pretty little girl about 11 or 12 years old who looked me square in the face and said "I love you."
I had no idea who she was but if that doesn't touch your heart, you're beyond redemption.
All in all, Halloween is one of my favorite nights of the year, every year.
35° here when I checked about 7am. Needs to be about 40° warmer.
