What do you mean? I've been using PP to buy exactly that over the last 8-10 years with 0 issues.
PP has never bothered to email me that my transaction is being spied on and I am being discriminated against due to my purchasing habits.
When that day comes, they can suck my appendage and will be dropped instantly with a polite email that I do not subscribe to socialist oppression, discrimination and overreach of authority.
With more and more business accepting CCs directly now, the need for GayPal is waning rapidly.

You'd best read their new TOS closely, then - if they DO catch on, they now claim they can "fine" you - which I'm sure will be via whatever account you have set up to pay their charges through.

And maybe even transfer money from your bank account to pay for the fine. Who knows what they can get away with.

Well, it's well and good to say you won't use PayPal but what do you do when the banks start that crap as well?
Not all that long ago we hear that banks and CC are creating a new category for guns and accessories.
Any guesses what the next step is without pushback from consumers and Congress?
This is not a road we want to go down.
I urge everyone to write their representatives and get them to nix these types of rules as discriminatory since our 2A is a protected right.

Pay for your firearms part or ammo with PayPal. On Nov 3, this will not be allowed and the seller could be fined $2500 per sale according to the new terms of service. Kind of surprised to see them crack down on accessories...

"You may not use the PayPal service for activities that: 1. violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation. 2. relate to transactions involving (a) narcotics, steroids, certain controlled substances or other products that present a risk to consumer safety, (b) drug paraphernalia, (c) cigarettes, (d) items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity, (e) stolen goods including digital and virtual goods, (f) the promotion of hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory or the financial exploitation of a crime, (g) items that are considered obscene, (h) items that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right under the laws of any jurisdiction, (i) certain sexually oriented materials or services, (j) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories, or (k) certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law."
Had a Paypal account for 22 years. Saw the new TOU and let their customer service have an earful, and then closed my account.
Also told them to delete all my past info so they'd have nothing left to sell

We don't need to support this crap. Speak with your conscience and your wallet.

PAYPAL HAS BEEN ANTI GUN PARTS OF ANY KIND FOR EVER. Nothing new there. But here's a tip, if you get hosed on a gun related transaction, Bank of America is your friend. They too are anti gun, but still take your money.

Considering the new reporting requirements, I'm only using PP "friends & family" from now on. If someone doesn't like it, they can come put cash in my hand instead.

You can connect a bank account; either savings or checking or a card, either credit or debit. I have a business and pretty much have to use PayPal as they make it easy to do currency exchanges on foreign transactions. I rebuild/sell vintage Japanese carburetors and have no way of safeguarding customer financial stuff securely so PayPal works for me.

Not only the fines are there but "accessories" are taboo. What if I buy a set of grips for a pistol, scope, rifle sling or even a shotgun cleaning kit? Who says what a firearm accessory is? PayPal?

Most of my customers have PayPal accounts as well. I need to read those terms very carefully as they morph into the latest woke territory.

I have really been concerned that Paypal can attach funds from my bank and I had left $.01 in the account and you can't close the account as long as there is money in it. I have to transfer $1 back so that I can transfer all of the money out and then close the account. Minimum transfer is $1.00, now will have $1.01 to transfer all out, then close it.

So paypal is gonna get pissed if I go and buy a set of nice grips or a sight blade or even cleaning patches. Seems pretty dumb if you ask me. Guess its time to make gun parts related purchases locally. Also all these guidelines are vague.

    You can connect a bank account;
I opened a separate account for PP. That way, I can deposit money when I need it and otherwise keep less than $100 (usually less than $20) in the account.

From the very beginning, they did lots of shady stuff, freezing accounts or pulling money out of them. There's no way I'd give them access to my credit line via ties to a credit card.

I heard this story on Joe Pags this evening. Joe was so astounded that he was convinced it was a mistake by a peon.
If it's real, then I am definitely shutting my account down. I only opened it to do eBay transactions, which I rarely do nowadays.
Joe's big question: what alternative is there? Venmo doesn't count, as they're owned by PayPal.
    Zelle? What else?

You can use the card of your choice with eBay as they now process directly and bypass PayPal if you go that route. You can still use PayPal on eBay.

Just bought a spare magazine on fleaBay over the weekend. Paid by default via GayPal. (don't they own each other?)
I wonder what happens after Nov 3rd. If I buy a "gun part" and go to checkout, will GayPal option be greyed out? Or will they still allow me to pay and then fine me for violating their policies?
This whole thing seems pretty upside down to me.
