12ga breaching round...
How the door is hung is more important than the door itself. Something you can do right now without spending a lot of money is replace the shitty screws in your strike plates and hinges with 4" long ones that go into the surrounding studs. An extended 6 screw strike plate is a good idea, too. The doors in that video have a little more than just that going on, tho.
I wouldn't think that "typical" doors would stand up to that abuse.
Steel doors you can get from home depot will take more abuse than you might think. The frame, strike plates, and hinges are the weak points. Even with a real bad ass door what usually pops is the strike plate.
Of course anyone who wants to get in will eventually get in no mater what setup you have. The idea is to buy some time.
Shit, the wrong poleece admins see this, they're going to be petitioning Congress to let them have JDAMs and tactical nukes because their SWAT cops can't boot reinforced doors
Exactly. Any door or window is only as strong as it's mounting within the framework of the house. All of mine are strengthened to resist being easily kicked in.
kind of like what should have happened in Waco with Koresh?
C-4 on the hinges.
solid core doors which are reinforced are hard to defeat.
hold on buddy......let me get rid of my incriminating evidence.
