Aaron Burr fatally shot Alexander Hamilton near Weehawken, New Jersey on July 11, 1804, at about 7 a.m.

Dueling was illegal in NY state so they ferried to NJ.

Maybe GUN CONTROL would have prevented the sitting Vice President from shooting his political rival to restore his reputation by challenging Hamilton to a duel, or an “affair of honor,” as they were known at the time.

Too little too late for ol' 'Hamilton' so maybe this was the start of NJ attempt at GUN CONTROL??? (if it can save just one life?????)
