Beto's twin brother, Gavin Newsome is expected to sign into law a bill that will require police to use deadly force only if "justified", not "necessary". The audio link references that his is specific response to police shootings of unarmed black men....not unarmed Asians, Hispanics, Whites or Eskimos.

Another example of our brothers in blue being thrown under the bus. I tried to get a copy of the actual bill but am on the run so will leave it to others if so inclined. I did read somewhere that it will require police to fire only after being fired upon...not sure if that lunacy language is in the bill or not

Note to other states: If you are "following California's lead", you probably need to resign your position and let the replacements do the adulting.

It seems to me that after litigation and case law this will be a distinction without a difference. Shootings that are ruled justified already have to be necessary or they arent a reasonable response to a threat.

This is just a feel good exercise in blowing smoke of the ars of the eternally aggrieved population.
