New to TX, damn this heat!

So Im from Nashville TN, Ive carried everyday for.... 16 years every single day, literally.
I work outside in shops.
I did so in Nashville, 95% humidity... 95 degrees.
I sweat, Ive always sweat.


North Texas is nice and hot, but this is the first time Ive dealt with this, Rust.

Yeah, this is obviously a EDC heavy carry firearm, it shows... Its my 10+ year EDC, rust though is new

Suggestions?

Yeah I suppose I have to add to my regimen EDC oiling

Couple options:

1.) Every 2-3 days inspect and oil or wipe down with a silicone impregnated cloth (not sure how often you're doing so now)

2.) Cerakote

I'm from kcmo been here almost 30 years and not only does it rust my edc this shit is cooking the color off me.

Rule 1 if you're not seeing vatos outside you shouldn't be out there either

I went from IWB to OWB, more frequent maintenance and different pistols for carry.

You learn to deal with the weather, the improvement in people is worth it!

Leave it in full sun for about an hour.
Then cram it in your waistband.
You'll forget about rust.
