I'm new to Texas Gun Talk and was wondering something about the Texas Law. If you were to buy a gun off of here, or say craigslist. Would you have to sign a waiver from the state of some kind that the gun has changed possessions. Such as you have to do with a car.

Texas is a free state and follows the U S Constitution. There is no registation of firearms and you don't have to tell anyone when you buy or sell a firearm. If selling you need to try to determine if the buyer is disallowed from purchasing the firearm. Likewise if you are disqualified as a buyer, you should not purchase a firearm because if you do you will be violating federal law and will be subject to some pretty severe laws should the DOJ decide to prosecute. The only reason vehicle titles require courthouse (tax office) action, in case you haven't bought a vehicle, is to allow the county to collect a tax. It's all about the money.
