Couple of months we won't even remember the old format. Upgrades happen, this one has been comparatively smooth to many I've seen.
The worst part I encountered was not being able to access the forum last night for some hours. But, I have noticed I now have some features I didn't have before. It's all good!

Life of an admin. BTDT myself. It's like any software project really.

Users will bitch about the interface without any real complaints and then eventually complain when you get rid of it.
    Oh man I've got stories.

One of my developers told me about a recent update. No alteration in functionality or design, the published change only (slightly) altered the background color of one of our custom UI widgets to better fit the standards going forward. She immediately began receiving feedback.

Some people were pissed, convinced nothing was working right and blaming the change for lost productivity.
Others were amazed at all the cool new features that were added.

This is definitely NOT an improvement.
Upgrades never are. New features users never asked for, old useful features getting broken... Maybe there was some minor security flaw that absolutely positively couldn't be mitigated any other way (unlikely) than rewriting the whole thing, or maybe software companies just need to justify their own existence.

In the grand scheme of terrible upgrades, this one isn't that bad so far...

Ehh, it's not that bad. Have gotten use to the Xenfofo platform, as most of the firearm forums I go to use it now. It is a bit different, but not that hard to figure out once one stops complaining about it and starts navigating the site.

The more I use it, the more I like it. It does have some features that weren't there before, but that just makes it better IMO to the last format.

It's going to be a learning curve for many, but, I like it so far.
