Probably not but when we lived on Kentucky Lake beside a road that now just ran into the lake some folks came out to the road ending and turned their boxer loose. My wife's Siamese Cat sauntered down there and put the boxer under the car then jumped up on the car to watch for him to try and sneak out. He didn't.
My dogs would kill any cat that wandered into the yard.

Some dogs don't handle cats well, though. The dogs that take care of cats hit the cat a full run, not giving the cat the chance to put their claws to use.

A lot of dogs tried ol' Tom. He would let them get close and then latch onto their muzzles and faces. He lived to a ripe old age. BTW I don't think Siamese are really cats in the normal sense of the word. They can be very cunning and mean.

We had a Burmese Tom that was the same way......he actually enjoyed tormenting dogs.

Illegally armed criminal produces a deadly weapon and threatens a law-abiding citizen's life.
The citizen's dog defends its owner.
    Criminal sues for dog attack.
    Criminal wins.
Self-defense is outlawed in many oppressive regimes (such as modern "socialism"). Britain and most of EU is affected by this nonsense.

    To All,

My big black/white tomcat, "BUSTER", is ODD in that he does NOT do something that I always believed that all cats do. = He does NOT "PURR" at all & his soft/little "meow" sounds like a 3 month old kitten. - He is over 6YO & about 15#.
(That said, most all cats are "peculiar" in some way or another.)

    yours, satx

I typically am not a fan of cats. I really, really like dogs a lot better as a rule.
But I would feed that cat. And shoot that dog.

    jrbfiishn,

Believe it or not, I had a 26# cat when i was in college that seemed think that his SOLE MISSION IN LIFE was to TORMENT dogs.

I finally had to lock him in the house when I went to school, as that saved me $$$$$$ on vet bills. = In just one week he sent 4 of my neighbor's dogs to the animal hospital for stitches.
(ALL of the dogs were much bigger than he was.)

As Bear Bryant used to say about FB players, "It's not about the size of the dog in the fight; instead, it's about the size of the fight in the dog."

CHRISTOPHER died of some unknown cat illness when I was a senior in college & it was over a year before any dog would come into my yard.

Our dogs grew up with cats in the house. But if a cat or any other animal gets into the backyard...it usually never leaves and ends up planted. They leave moles by the back door as presents....

It is funny as can be to watch a 100+lb shepherd/lab/heinz57 mix dog backing away from a kitten in the house because he knows it is protected. In the backyard....different story. When my son and his family were staying here a few years back his cat was accepted inside the house. One day he thought it would be okay to let the cat out into the backyard at night via the bedroom window. We had to plant what was left of it.
