Ive been working in NDT with out much luck the last year and a half. Just started working at a place and got caught up in a layoff]

What are some good positions to get into that have semi regular hours, and good pay? I don't really want to work 14 days on 2 off(still work most off days) forever to be honest.

Ive been applying to oil field/offshore positions, rail road stuff, all sorts of random BS jobs just to have something. What do yall do, and do you have any recommendations?

Id stay in NDT if I could find a company with decent hours.

Whats the apprentice time like for Lineman work?(may be too fat for a cherry picker though haha.

I don't have any degrees. I just want to find something with pretty decent pay, something Ill somewhat enjoy, and something where I can have a life outside of work.

You could try Boeing, oil fields, or the road jobs. There's no slot open here in San Antonio, but If you have certs, Boeing's got a job open in Saudi. Honda Air craft as well.

Get your tanker and haz-mat money goes up from there. Both are written tests.
Companies with day cabs means that you are home at night. Do the research.
You can find a school, that will help you find a job upon graduation.
But if you don't want to travel all over.
    Other companies will train you

Use the contacts you've made in your field.
Consider sales of consumables in said field. I don't know what your posted acronym means as far as work experience.
I will tell you, apprentice lineman work means bottom of the totem pole.
Labor intensive. Shovels, cable pulling and securing, hydraulic or pneumatic tamps (little bit lighter than a jackhammer but same mechanics with a "foot" instead of a breaking bar).
They clear powerline ROW for a reason, and that means damn little shade.
Offroad a lot. That ain't all bad honestly.
If you get on with a construction contractor, you live in motels or drag a rv.
And you'll be around oilfield activity most of the time.
North Houston Poleline has had a crew in West Texas for years. Usually 2.
