Will be moving soon and need recommendations. I've looked around a little and have seen some names, but wanted member's recommendations. Willing to drive out of town to Corsicana, Mabank, Palestine, Canton, Tyler, Jacksonville for a good club/range. Prefer outdoor but open to all suggestions! Thanks in advance!

No one has any recommendations? Responsible firearm enthusiast in need of a new range. Willing to drive, just need a good spot (preferably without idiots muzzle sweeping me). Willing to sign up with a club or just use a local range. Please, any recommendations would be appreciated. Send me a PM if you want.

    Nope. Not in GBC.

Big Rock Gun Club is N of Eustace. Up to 500 yd rifle, rimfire range, black powder, and pistol including falling plates at 20 yds. IDPA match last Sat of each month(open to IDPA members only). Open field for shotgun bring your own chunker and birds. Guests are allowed @ $10/day. You are allowed three visits as a guest and then must join. Not expensive, initial for individual is $200/yr, family $225. BRGC.net for more info

On 64 Between Canton and Tyler you have Buffalo Creek. We have skeet, trap, five stand, wobble trap, pistol range 3 yd. 7 yd. 15 yd. and 20 yd. Rifle range 25 yd. 50 yd. 100 yd. 200 yd. 300 yd. Our family membership are fifty dollars a year. You shoot rifle and pistol free, shotgun $ 5.50 for 25 targets. You have to be a member to use the rifle or pistol. They also have reloading supplies. The owner is a HOF Trap shooter and nice folks.

Terrell Gun Club N of Terrell is members only, skeet, trap and IDK what else. You have to get on a list and be sponsored by a member.

Good info, Avvidclif! But I was told by one of its members that there is a long waiting list before one could apply for membership. Is that not the case any more?

Forgot to say that in addition to what Avvidclif said, Terrell Gun Club has two 50 yd bays, a 100 yd and 200 yd rifle range and some 20-25 yd pistol bays. But like he said, there’s a long waiting list and you have to be sponsored by a member to apply.

Anyone know anything about Pecan Ridge Outdoor Center in Scurry? Apparently they have a 100 yard rifle range, a pistol range and skeet shooting, along with fishing and other outdoor activities. Can't find any info about membership costs or anything, though. It may or may not be affiliated with Crossfire Defense.

    Anyone know the full story?

Interesting. I hadn’t heard about Pecan Ridge til now. Found their website and FB page, but you’re right, no info on membership requirements or costs. If you call and ask, please let us know what you find out.
