So, I inherited an AR with an EOTECH from my brother.
It wouldn't turn on, so I went to replace the batteries.
I realized after the fact that I had lost the contacts on at least one side of the compartment.

I have come to find out that the battery Compartment has been discontinued, I guess.
Also having no luck finding replacement parts for the inside.

I don't really know what model it is, it just has L3 on the side.
I'm thinking it's a 2009 vintage, but actually have no idea.

Anybody have a spare, or parts or anything?

    Any and all suggestions appreciated...

ETA: Instruction booklet has 2007 on it, they were purchased at the same time.

If it's a 512 (AA batteries) the used to sell a repair kit consisting of the contacts, and springs. It was a common problem/weak point of that model. The contacts would fall out of the battery compartment, and disappear. It should have the model number, and build date on a sticker affixed to the base. Hope this helps.

I believe that is the back part, where the Compartment contacts.
That's actually what I bought by mistake.

Not the inside contacts of the battery Compartment, which is what I need.

I was going to take a pic of the inside of my XPS2 if it would help narrow down what you need.

I needed a replacement hood from them once. They referred me to a 3rd party and the fit and finish was not the same as my original. Unfortunately, I had to dremel a larger hole where the rubber grommet attaches.

I'm pretty sure I know what I need, I just can't find it

It's funny though, I just came across a YT video on how to replace the parts.

I'm pretty sure it's a newer model, though...

Slowly remove batter cover, very carefully remove and slide off the old EOTECH, them gently slide a new EOTECH in it's place, then carefully replace the battery cover.

Easy peasy! You can thank me later. All tips and donations welcome!

I had my old 553 give me fits a few years ago. Batteries went dead so I popped the cover off to put a couple new ones in. Well out came 2 foam donuts along with the contact springs. I guess the adhesive had given up so I placed them back in with new batteries.

A few shots in, the sight blinked out again. I thought maybe the batteries were just old, they had been sitting around. So, popped another pair in, same thing. After pulling the foam donuts out I realized one was longer than the other and I had mixed them up. This time I lightly stretched the springs and moved them.

No issues since. So assuming it uses a similar set up, I'd pull out the donuts or make new ones from adhesive foam weather strip and find some nice springs and make new contacts. I bet a properly stretched pen spring would work but there's probably better stuff out there.

Not sure if that's any help but it worked for me.
