This is my first attempt at baking a pie or a homemade crust. I made an error and did not roll out the crust quite "wide" enough, but I am going for taste!

It looks great. How did it taste?
My wife had to learn how to do buttermilk pies, as she is an import from WA state. She has gotten quite good at them.
Unfortunately (some may argue) she also makes an amazing pecan pie, so we rarely make it to the buttermilk....
Also, I am a huge fan of pumpkin pies.

    Line 'em up!

I think I will have to experiment with this. It was a little sweet, I am toying with the idea of adding a layer of tart cherries, I do not know if this will work, or if they would sink. Maybe some cinnamon. The first time crust is like grandmas' crust, flour, salt real butter, and some cold water. Much better than store-bought.

I prefer plain ol chess pie, as far as that type goes, but a little tangy buttermilk pie ain't bad.

Warm Pecan, some caramel and vanilla bean ice cream is my favorite.

Those pawns must be mighty hard on the teeth, but I do like an old fashioned cheese pie, better yet lemon meringue, aw hell they're all good.
