    Well I completed my 10/22 today...again.

It started life as an inexpensive factory 10/22. After a month or so, I put a muzzlelight bullpup stock on it, which looked VERY tacticool, but I didn't ever take the time to get the iron sights on the thing sighted in b/c it was kind of a pain. So I shot it in its original configuration again for another six months or so, and then got bit by the bug again. So I stripped it down to the receiver and have since added:

    Hogue Overmold stock
    Harris pivoting bipod
    Butler Creek .920 bull barrel
    Cabelas rimfire tactical scope

here's a pic, can't wait to get out to the range this weekend to see how it shoots!

ahh looks nice, I will be stripping mine down and replacing the worn out trigger, and installing a bull-barrel in the near future, still love to shoot my 10/22, first gun and will keep it forever.

That looks nice.... 10/22s are like barbie-dolls for men!

I read that somewhere... the worst part is I can't really argue the point!

Wow! My son's 10-22 has been in my safe for about 25 years and has not been fired since. I had to pull it out (the rifle!) and check it over, fondle, caress, hug, whatever you call it yourself. I guess we'll be making a date for the range Saturday.

What a nice way to accessorize. I particularly like the Thompson.

ooooohhh 10/22 magnum! those are AWESOME! i'd love to find one and convert it over to .17hmr

Every single one of the .22 Mags that has been converted into .17 HMR that has ever came into our range has had an un-safe headspace.

I would advise not doing that.

nice looking gun - I had one built by Talon Arms that looks really similar.

    Hougue Stock
    Timney Trigger
    SB-X barrell
    Simmons 4x14x44 scope
    Extended Mag release

waiting on Tax Stamp to connect my Outback II suppressor

They are a blast to shoot and cheap too.

Clearly, those you've seen weren't done correctly, but there are lots of folks shooting 10/22Ms in .17HMR that have no issues.

For anyone interested in doing so, reading up on them at RFC would be my first suggestion.
