A month is a lot if they only have a 7 year shelf life.. You could rotate stock, but you'd have to eat almost one a month and then replace it every month to keep the stock fresh.. I'm figuring 2 per day or 60 units for a month supply..

I want to stock #10 cans and such for the house since they have a25 year shelf life and just use the pouches for my bag and camping.

We keep a 2 week supply, suitable for 2-3 adults, stored in a rubbermaid crate. Throw in car and run away stuff. We also keep a Kelly Kettle and matches in the same crate, along with a bunch of cyalume lights. We have other stuff in other crates and bug out bags, but not so much that two adults couldn't carry it all a reasonable distance (first aid kit, backpacks, food, etc.).
