Well FRACK! Registered the bike, came out and it wouldn't start
Turned over some then the battery gave out. Was gonna ride to work tomorrow, new plan . . . wait a while.

PS, the ladies that have worked this tax office as long as I can remember commented they didn't know BMW made bikes, had to look out the window. Maybe mine is the 1st in the county. ;)
What kind of cheese came with it?

I need a QUITE street / touring helmet. I know I know . . opinions and taste in women, blah blah. (Redheads & outies suck :p)

Modular is very high on my priority list and with my tinnitus, I always use ear pro if the ride is >10 miles.

Can you highly recommend a <$400 helmet that is quiet?

I've been away from the scene too long, I can't help.
    Hopefully these other guys can.
I have very limited experience riding fast compared to you but it's not just about who's leading "this lap".

I'll bet you have the means, get a ride that makes you happy and let's cruise. ;)

I've had good luck with these Torc modular helmets with bluetooth. I'm on my 2nd one but that's just because I wanted a graphics change. I'd let you borrow one to check out. In fact, I could meet you halfway. Both of them are X-Large, I've got a watermelon head.

Thanks for the offer Dave, we shall see. Regardless, I wouldn't mind meeting 1/2 way just ride some day.

I've never even heard of TORC but apparently you have T-28s since it's their only listed modular units. Problem is they are predominately black which to me, doesn't make sense in Texas. My noodle measures 23-1/8" which = 59-60cm. According to Torc's size chart a XL should fit. According to HJC's chart I border on Med-Lg but in the i90 model a 2X is what fits well.

Yeah, you're right, all black wouldn't be desirable. Looks like they don't offer the last one I got anymore.

Would really like to meet up and ride sometime though. Hopefully it's in the cards, weather permitting.

That's a '21 color scheme of the i90 I received from Revzilla on 12/23 after ordering it on 12/19. I tried really hard to buy "local" from Cycle Shack North in Conroe but only heard . . . available in Jan, then Feb, and my wholesaler doesn't have it yet.

I've got @300 miles wearing this lid now and my complaints are, too much pad pressure pushing down above my eyebrow (but not against my forehead) and, the right side feels like it's pushing my eyeglasses earpiece above my ear but when I stop to check, it's hasn't. That's gonna take some time to figure out.

I absolutely LOVE the modular chin guard for a quick smoke or drink w/o helmet removal and the retractable sun visor is a huge benefit, especially this time of year with low sun angles.

It is definitely quieter than my cheapie GMax but not by a large margin.

I parked the Beemer dead nutz at 30K miles on Jan 6 and it hadn't moved since . . until today. I completed an important project yesterday afternoon and scooted out of work early today for a 120 mile ride, + lunch.

Just west of Livingston in an area called Blachard is a place named LeBlanc's.
IMHO, very good food at reasonable prices and . . . some damn cute waitresses. :what:

The wind was cookin' a bit today. See waves along dock at left for scale reference.

I was looking for a new pair of Held gloves and nobody had any in stock. Called Held USA and they dug around until they found what I was looking for there in the offices. Gave me a good deal and thanked me for my business.

I did a very little pokin around Held's site, no idea what the exchange rate is but their gear seems 'spensive. If you're happy, that's all that really matter. <thumbsup>

I wore light weight gloves until I hit the chug hole in Colorado and threw it into the bushes. There is o such thing as too expensive in riding gear.
