See if you can find a Gree brand
We use lots of them also
Pioneer ,Mr cool internet brands are difficult for service and parts
Or look at the Mitsubishi site for a local dealer
I think we posted at the same time…how’s LG?

Kind of like a good scope
    Cost more
If you’re staying at that location for 5-10 years then pay for a quality unit
    Midea would be 3rd choice
You have a vacuum pump and gauges available for installation

So after getting a few more recos, the consensus I’m going with is a 24k unit, with an 18k head for the main living area, and a 7k head in the bedroom.

Looks like LG is gonna be the best value, and EComfort.com has it all in stock.

    Mitsubishi.

    American Standard.
Pop has a Mitsubishi mini split, installed in an upstairs game room that always had trouble cooling. It’s going on close to 15 years and still going strong. I don’t know the specs on it. My point of posting is that it’s been reliable and not what I would consider noisy at all.

    Ok final answer...

Since my downstairs R410a unit is over 15 years old and literally on it’s last legs, we’re gonna replace it with a larger system, with a damper for the garage so they can have some independent temp control.

    Details:
    5 ton
    heat pump
    19 seer
    variable speed

I’ll be Into this setup for $14k.

We’re money ahead compared to installing a mini split for the garage and upgrading our old R410a unit.

And my summertime $800 power bill to maintain 82 degrees indoors should be over.

That’s a really good plan, now would be the time to do it. My AC guy said prices are about to skyrocket after the first of the year on AC components. If you want I can ask him if that’s a good price for what you’re getting?

    Sure that would be great!
I've got two contractors opinions so far, they're telling me it's a good price...another set of eyes would be cool.

I priced out just the components and it's defintely not a cheap system. But there's more to value than just the purchase price.
