    Always wanted to try it but spent some good times digging and panning with a little dredge work in some small creeks and rivers.
    Two good pieces found digging and I had them Made into earings for my wife. And a small sample of flakes from panning and all I have left is a few pans. Very very time consuming.

    In your kneck of the woods? I was a big fan of "Gold Fever" and Tom Massey. I have a pan. :cool:

    I actually went to one of their claims in the California desert.
    It was well.... let's say a little obvious they spiced up the take when they panned it out. Everyone got a very small sample of the take. All in all it was well worth the trip. Most of what I did was in AZ, Nevada and California. There is a bunch to be had you just need to be patient and very lucky. If I were to mess with it today I would go to West and South TX. Water floe or dry washes coming out of the mountains and cayons.
