There was another cop put on administrative leave pending investigation of his role in this mess. He is white and his name is Preston Hemphill.

Hemphill was shown on video during MPD's initial confrontation with Nichols, pulling him from his car forcefully while hitting him on the ground with a Taser, later stating, "I hope they stomp his ass”. That was captured on audio.

Nothing personal there, nope. Entirely professional.
