Wife has a Sport. Great rifle. She doesn't miss the dust cover and forward-assist. Rifle is light and dependable with a nice finish.

10-4, that is what I have heard from a few folks, that I know have them that is.

Forward assists can actually cause some problems. If your rifle doesn't fully go into battery, I'm of the school of thought to just eject the offending round instead of jamming it into the chamber.

Regarding the dust cover, yes, I would like to have that far more than the FA, but gas ARs are going to get filthy anyways once you start firing them.

$500 or so is a good price these days. I miss the good old days too, but it is what it is.

I agree, I was looking at these too. If that is all that is missing or different, I really don't have any issues either.
