I was at Academy/Cypress this morning and saw they had 10-12 CCI boxes of magnum primers and no limit, in case that's your thing. Price was $3.99/100. Say what you want to but if I had a dollar for all the guys I heard back in the day say "i'll never pay $3 a gallon for gas" I'd be rich.

Mods, delete this if it goes against the rules.

The Academy stores in Garland and Plano seem to always have them, and not just the magnums. I've been paying around $35-40 per thousand at Cabelas and elsewhere for a while. That price is not out of line.

You can get them cheaper if you order from online vendors, but you have shipping and hazmat fees to add to the advertised price. If you need them "right now" then its easier to go to Academy or Cabelas. Although Cabelas has not had much lately.

Just yesterday I realized that when I went to academy a few months ago and meant to buy a handful of large rifle primer boxes, a couple of small rifle primer boxes slipped in. I was going to be mad at myself, but I think it worked out okay.
