Found this on the Riton website. You would think it would be something they would make easier to find. View attachment 259745

I’m really interested in Japanese HD glass that LOW puts into their higher-tier products.

These guys are selling the Delta Stryker 1-6 for just under $700 (email them and ask for their best price), LOW HD glass…I’m prolly going to snag one next week

Riton confirmed that the Tactix X7 1-8 (mentioned above) indeed uses Japanese HD/ED glass…for $499 I’m gonna give it a go.

LOW isn’t the MFR, but I’m hoping for the best.

Updating my last post here…I returned the scope.

The eyebox was way too tight, I think it would’ve been better if it was SFP and not FFP.

    Glass clarity was excellent.

I actually prefer SFP, I like the reticle remaining the same.

take a look at U.S. Optics TS-6X, 1-6x24mm, 30mm Tube, First Focal Plane, Digital Red Illuminated, Matte Black, 24 mm Objective, that run under $700

someone might even talk me out of mine, as i haven't used it much
What are your overall thoughts on these? Cant find too much info online about the US optics LPVO's. Seem to be over looked by a lot of the competition

since 1991, U.S. Optics (aka USO) has always been a top-tier US scope maker, but also very expensive (running $2000-4200), so they decided to offer a less-expensive series (TS) made over seas, designed for the average buyer. i've read that after each scope is imported they put it through rigorous testing which is documented with every scope. an impressive chart did come with mine.

the TS offers a high-quality optically-superior scope backed by a well-know american superior scope company.

having tried a few other upper-end LPVO (some running over $3K) over the last 20 years, i can say that this one rates way up there with some of the best edge to edge optical sharpness, brightness and clarity i've seen.

why aren't i keeping it? because i truly suck at remembering to change the zoom setting. ie: i leave it on 6x when i'm working close-in, and the reverse. every few years i think i can overcome my issue so buy yet another LPVO, only discover i'm kidding myself. i hope i can finally learn this time to stick to fixed powered optics, the 4x acog in particular.

anyway, the TS-6X is a very competitive low-cost LPVO, so give em a look.

    here's a review i found about this series - https://gatdaily.com/review-ts-6x-lpvo-from-u-s-optics/

ps - i have nothing to do with USO, i'm just a user/buyer.

Appreciate the feedback. Like you mentioned I had only seen US Optics Scopes at the very top tier level until now. The LPVO price point they come in at seems like a great deal. I'll dig in a little more to what their LPVO's have to offer and maybe find a sale to pick one up.

One thing that may or may not matter to you:
US Optics TS line of scopes are Chinese, with QC handled in the US.

as a pro photographer using nikon gear for over 50 years, every lens i've owned has come from one asian country or another, as nikon subs out to a number of them and they've been great. sadly their only competition has been from germany, not the usa. and i suspect that most usa optic producers have their lenses ground overseas.

Yeah I’ve got Japanese / LOW glass, on two LPVO’s.

Interestingly, the LOW glass is on European-brand scopes.

Good database here, search for your scope and it’ll tell you where it’s made:

If anyone is interested in the US Optic discussed above, this seems like a good price for it at DVOR.com
