    title says it. My contender won't stay cocked. the sear won't flip forward and engage when I open it. Very early frame with the sear set screw inside instead of on the trigger. Not desperate enough yet to attack it myself.

    I hate Contenders. You've heard that, too. :)

    That said, if I wanted that junked Contender of mine made special (or even just functional), I'd send it to Bellm.

    The days of Texas Contenders, a shop in Houston that specialized in Contenders, are long over. The number of smiths willing to work on them is now quite small.
