Need some 470 Nitro brass to make a cartridge belt slide, use them for forming the cartridge loops. No need for new, once or more fired will work fine. New brass is either out of stock, or obscenely expensive!

    Out here by the lake!
Double Rifles/Dangerous Game Rifles are up their with machine guns in cost of anything associted with them. I would say try Dallas, Houston & San Antonio Safari Club membership. You might want to concider what a round weights as to many would make the belt to heavy. Suspenders might be required.

Then comes mastering holding 2 rounds in the off hand to reload. If the gun does not have ejectors, or is an extractor gun only your plucking out spent brass by hand. Not the thing I wanted to be doing with something charging.

I can't remember the Safari Gun Leather company that did the conventions, but they did have nice products. Most them big money guys stick with it. Who did you get talked into this?

I wonder if a polite request to Kentucky Ballistics might get you some brass and maybe a mention by an online channel that could drive business your way.

    Just wondering.

    :)

Seriously, I get the impression he doesn't reload for his big rifles. If he's smart, he's already selling his once-fired brass somewhere.

Case goes from a base diameter of .572, to a shoulder diameter of .531, so a straight form won't work. Don't have time or inclination to turn them to the proper taper. Also, not looking to buy one, making one (if possible) by customer request. He saw an eight round slide I made some time back in 500 NE for another hunter, and decided he wanted one. I guarantee my slides cost waaaay less than the Murray cartridge belts. They make great products, they just cost about the same as a new F150!

Apparently not. Gave him that option, haven't heard back. I'm busy enough as it is, though.
