They're probably keeping it up because we're doing the same thing to them. Before we pulled out of the Treaty on open skies in 2021, we had countries able to fly over us and spy all the time. I'm not sure what's going on with all that currently, but anything we have up there is already protected from overhead spying by satellites and planes. As far as the Chinese go, I wonder if the Russians have them watching over our LGM-30 fields and reporting if they see anything. They'll need more than one blimp.

So Biden & his lackeys have decided that allowing a suspected Chinese spy balloon to hover over the United States, to potentially spy on us and our defenses, is safer than shooting it down for Americans. If a plane flies within restricted air space over DC, fighter jets are scrambled to intercept and turn it away or shoot it down if it does not do so. That is not happening here - why is that? My guess, so they are not pissed off at us him too much when they invade or should I say are invited in to take over by Biden and the dems!

Biden is, in my opinion, truly the worst POS and probably most corrupt president we have had by far within my lifetime. I think he far surpasses Obama in that regard. Those last two sentences stand even if this merely turns out to be an errant Canadian weather balloon, simply a hoax or an attack on our soil by the Duchy of Grand Fenwick!

I have a 308 20 MOA rail and 3x9 scope with 1/4 MOA per click. How many clicks needed to reach the 9,000 foot?

Is this more dangerous than their satellites?
In a sense, I think it is.

Mostly in the inept response of those in power.
It will create a huge debris field!
It's very large, but is mostly gas. This is not a space shuttle we are talking about.
It really can't gather that much intelligence!
