    LoL, if I had ever used purple on any performance car, bike, or kart, what ever I had put it on would be laying on the track within the first lap.
    Sales propaganda...
    Purple has worked great on small fasteners where the only concern was loosening with vibration. I have never had an issue with it over many years.

    I have seen people strip out small screw heads (e.g., scope mounts) trying to remove the screws where they used blue.

    I have seen people strip out small screw heads (e.g., scope mounts) trying to remove the screws where they used blue.
    Most likely due to one of the reasons I mentioned in prior post (crap tools, or crap screws), or over torqued in the first place.

    Screws that came with the mounts. Nothing wrong with the tools they were using.

    Over-torqued? Can't say for sure.

    I can say I have never seen this happen with purple loctite, though.
