Yeah, kind of like how you're supposed to refer to American Indians as "indigenous peoples" or "native Americans" or whatever the flavor of the week is...but they'll usually give you a funny look when you use the "preferred" terms and say "Do you mean 'Indian'?"

Or the vast number of Hispanic people who find the "enlightened" term "Latinx" to be offensive...because not only is it white people renaming them, it also mangles their native language.
