    HUNT COUNTY TEXAS
    i know i can carry from texas to oklahoma with my chl. My question is with a camping trip around the corner, would i be able to take my Kel Tec sub 2000 (9mm carbine)? if anyone can steer me to the right place for the info i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

    Carrying rifles is illegal in OK, but there is an exception for "The proper use of guns and knives for hunting, fishing, educational or recreational purposes".

    Probably wouldn't convince anyone Kel Tec Sub 2000 was a hunting weapon.....at least not 4-legged prey.
    I was thinking for recreational purposes. But I bet they don't allow shooting at the campgrounds.

    I never realized OK has such awful gun laws.

    I dont think recreational is worth the risk. As I think of things, in an Oklahoma state park, now im curious if I can even carry with my chl? If only we had a constitutional right to own and carry weapons nation wide...
