Hey guys I have this buck where I hunt I’ve seen him for three years now and he’s obviously not normal. Thing is the reg’s state that a branched antler and a spike are good to go. This dude looks like two points on the blunt antler but is it technically two points being that it’s a defect or from an injury perhaps?.
I call him Pronghorn. What do you think?

I think that he is very cool looking.

    Sorry, no insight.

Is the spread less than 13"?
I think it would be close if it was measured from the stub horn to the widest part of the branched antler. But I’ve miscalculated before. Don’t know how you would really measure it. Reason I’m asking for thoughts. It’s hard to let him walk al the time.

If he looks like that every year, I'd be talking w/a GW if you're in an area where he'd be technically illegal because of spread. He's got genetic issues that will likely carry down - he should've been taken out long ago. That's the biggest problem with "minimum spread" counties - trash bucks like this get to survive and breed.

Spread looks less than 13" from the pic. If you are in an antler restricted county, that would be illegal...assuming the picture is providing good information.
