Over the past several years there have been a lot of changes to Texas knife and other non "fire" arms laws. For a while one was exempt if legally CHL and (but only) underarms with a hand gun. Just wondering if expanding batons are OK now as part of an EDC? Also been curious about trench knives, heard a lot of rumors both ways concerning possession and/or EDC. Anyone know what's going on? My reading of the 2A sees the right to "arms", now just guns [firearms].

Texas knife laws were changed several years ago. There are no longer any length limits, you can open carry a sword or Bowie if you want. There are some restricted areas where the length is limited. You'll have to do a little Googling. Don't know about batons.
