Welcome! Been here since 2018. I love it more and more each day. Hoping you've come to do the same, keep Texas free, and basically the exact opposite as Chicago.
I’ve visited many different parts of Texas and have always loved it. I finally had enough of Illinois and the Covid 19 situation actually helped me as far as finally making the decision to leave.

Welcome to Texas and TGT. As long as you adopt Texas values, and our conservative politics, and are coming to get awa from the liberal socialist crap of them northern Yankees, yep, you're welcome here!

Better learn to love BBQ and Shiner beer too!
Trust me, I fit in here a lot better than there.

haha my apologies! I’m definitely a bbq person but I don’t drink (at least not yet). The first place I ate was a place called Hutchins BBQ. I loved it.

If you want some of the best Texas BBQ, head towards central Texas, around Austin, San Antonio, New Braunfels, Lockhart ect. That's where the best BBQ is at.

Shiner is Texas beer. Brewed in Shiner Texas!

Sounds like you are going to fit in just fine here on the forum and here in Texas. Glad to have you here!

Welcome, I was stuck in Bolingbrook IL for a year, then back to just outside Minneapolos for 12 before coming here 9 years ago.

Texas is better than up north in 110 out of 100 ways. I have been back once in the 9 years I have been here and that was too much.
