the dashboard is completely in tact with all parts in place. light surface rust inside and out but body and bumpers are straight. ill post pics when she is completed in a yr or so.....
they both run perfectly. but im doing a frame off Resto anyways. to include a complete drivetrain rebuild. so basically when im done it will look/be just as if it rolled off the assembly line in 1972!!
and the best part is, ive found a used parts seller to get all the parts i need to complete it and he's somewhere?? in the U.S. with access to thousands of parts for my waggy!! iam so stoked!!
I had one of that year as well. The only thing jeep on it was the body and frame, the rest was GM retrofitted. 82 Blazer running gear, 69' 327 v8 held in by 4 bolts and chains.
The point is, those things are a pile of possibility and awesomeness.
The transfer case was bad in mine and for some reason (maybe spider gear) only ran front wheel drive. The High/Low selector was a retro-fited tractor choke line, and the KC's on the front were turned on and off by a commercial 110V household switch.
It was named the war wagon. Now it's cruising around in New Mexico somewhere.
It was a lot closer to that than a wagoneer. The rear 2/3 of the cab was cut off at the back of the front doors and a high seat was mounted in the bed. Shotgun shells and rusty old things rolled around in the bed. If I can find an old picture of it i'll post it up for all to see.
