Just got an assembled in Portugal Browning Hi Power. It is in damn near perfect condition with just a few idiot marks near the slide lever.

What are these worth? How is the quality compared to other hi powers?

Any info would be appreciated folks. By all appearances it looks and feels like a quality pistol

I tried to like the Hi-Power but hated the hammer bite. Even the round hammer would bite me. You are probably okay if you don't have fat bastard hands like me.

Also removing the magazine safety is a good idea if the trigger is gritty.

Shoot and enjoy it, I hope you like it.

Congrats on your Hi Power! It looks just like the first one I got in the mid 80s. I put some nice combat sights and Elephant ivory grips on it. It was so nice my brother talked me out of it. Triggers are definitely lacking compared to a 1911.

But doing a disassembly on it, and running a Dremel tool with small wire brush will do wonders on that trigger.
