Is the FN FNX 45 Tactical really the bee's knees?

I've actually never owned an FN before. Now that I'm in real America, I've been watching video reviews on this gun and all of them are crazy positive. It's too big to be a carry gun (at least on my frame), but I am intrigued by the idea of having it in a go-bag that I keep with me when I'm traveling long distance. I don't know, we'll see. Maybe i just like it because it's tacti-cool.

Anyone have first hand experience with one of these?

No I have an H&K P9S .45 target & a Les Baer SRP for .45 acp.

Lots of quirks and issues, and typically not the best warranty support.

If you want DA/SA .45, and don't mind not having a threaded barrel, the Px4 storm is great

We didn't drop 2 atom bombs on Japan, it was 2 1911's.
