Humble brag way to say you don’t own a Glock
Because on the Ruger, the upper is considered the actual firearm. Don’t know why.Ruger MKI/II/III/IV have the SN on the upper portion with the barrrel. The lower grip (with FCG) is not serialized.
They're on my HKs also.
That is off the top of my head.
Ruger MKI/II/III/IV have the SN on the upper portion with the barrrel. The lower grip (with FCG) is not serialized.
Because on the Ruger, the upper is considered the actual firearm. Don’t know why.
Is it an offense, however, to remove the SN on the slide and barrel when they're attached to an 80% lower which was never serialized to begin with?
For ATF purposes, only the frame/lower would be considered a firearm, right?
Would removing the SN from the slide and barrel constitute altering a "firearm" in this context?
Both Title 35 and 18 USC seem to define firearm as a weapon, but only the lowers are actually regulated.
Anyone know of a similar case in Texas?
ABSOLUTE correct answer, also in some firearms, the upper is the controlled serialized portion (FN FAL example)Why would someone in Indiana ask people in Texas this question? You need to ask attorneys in YOUR state and ask ATF.
