Probably paywall, but an extremely important view. This puts what is going on today in context and exposes the danger.

American society is faced with a stark binary choice. Either we push back against the unrelenting assault of the neo-Marxist narrative, or we yield to the totalitarian impulse now in full view in our politics. It is no longer enough to wait for the next election, or to pin our hopes on a “silent majority” that will eventually stop the madness. There may be no such majority. If there is, its members may no longer be able to articulate what they see unfolding around them. It is hard to call things by their proper names in a society whose elites insist on calling looters and arsonists “protesters,” national monuments “symbols of racism,” and the victims of looting and arson the beneficiaries of “white privilege.” The challenge is massive, but it starts with the simple act of calling things by their proper names.

The WSJ is really doing yeoman's work these days, but my concern is that they don't have enough of a reach.

Beyond the paywall issue oldag mentioned, the WSJ isn't a national news broadcast, like ABC or CNN, that gets pushed into the homes of virtually all Americans. The people that need to read this article probably will never know it existed.

Because of that, where Michta says 'it is no longer enough to...pin our hopes on a "silent majority"' -- I'm afraid that will have to be enough, because that and the 90 days between now and the election is pretty much all we have.

The democrats are giving us all we need in terms of their constant assault on America, their riots, anarchy, calling criminals heroes, idealizing racists, etc, etc, but their control over the media prevents America from finding out the truth.

And sadly, it seems, even Fox News is is the latest to “fall in line”. Claiming Portland was “calm” last night after the Fed Agents left. #1) Calm relative to what? There were fires set, “only one bottle rocket was fired towards the court house”, U.S. flag was burned... #2) Federal Agents have not left. An out and out lie! I went back to Fox News to paste a link but it appears sometime between this morning and now the article was removed from their web site. Sooo... not sure how it works with copyrights an this sites stated restrictions on violating such. If my post is in violation please remove it.
