Back in December during deer season I was having hogs come in and ruin my hunting so I started taking an AR and a .243 with me.
The AR for the pigs ..(before someone ask:rolleyes:)
Range was 85 yards to feeder

One afternoon a sounder came in and it had 3 good sized sows and a bunch of small piglets
I had been shooting the big ones only thinking it should orphan the small ones and leave them open to predators

I had coyotes and bobcats like crazy this winter

That day I lit into them good..
I dropped 2 where they stood and I knew I hit a 3rd one solid but couldn't find it or a good blood trail.

These were 55 gr SP bullets

Well yesterday while walking the land I came up a trail I haven't been on in a year
    Thick brush..

I found that SOB...75 yards down hill in amongst that brush.

I was happy to know I got her then I cried a little thinking of the needless suffering it went thru laying there alone dying

Well...I lied about that part ..lol

    Good riddance

    In the woods...
Okay, back to pig killing. I found a pig skull about 100 yards from where I shot AT one over a year ago. I looked for it, never smelled it, and never saw buzzards.

    Evidently I hit it.

It was very deep in the brush. I only found it because the sun hit the white skull just right, and it looked like something that should not have been there - so I went to investigate.

300 Blackout takes them nicely. I'm using 125g Nosler BTs supersonic.
Wasn't the 300 blackout designed around the use of a suppressor?
I mean there are plenty of
effective rounds that are super sonic

It has always been my understanding that the 300 black out was conceived to be used with a suppressor since it could be loaded subsonic

Or was that a notion that started after the round came out?

    I have everything from 204, 223, 243, 270 and 30 cal

I have purposely stayed away from all of the other rounds because I did not want to have to start loading for one more cartridge
