    morning, any old water pipe at least 1" or better in dia. at least
    4. 1ft. wider on both sides for turning. no upstairs or wooden
    floors without reinforcement. u can rent a trk. with a jimmy
    lift from uhaul. take ur time and b careful.
    i paid a $150.00 to have mine moved. watched the persons
    and helped in the moving. from nagels in SA to Schertz.

    Moved this monster using seven 24" sections ... keeping four sections under the safe.

    I would be afraid metal or wood would damage tile or laminate.

    Golf balls work great ... unless the floor isn't level. Then it get hard to keep them corralled.

    I have used a refrigerator dolly with the strap to move a heavy Ft. Knox several times. A trusted assistant is essential. If there are more than a couple steps, I am going to get lots of help. Very few people can reliable hold more than 50 pounds in my experience so it is best to know your team. Fire Resistant file cabinets are crazy heavy to move. I had a pickup and a strong back in my younger days so learned a lot.

    Good timing for a necropost.

    Im escaping Harris county this week and heading north to Montgomery County. I looked at every possible way to move my 1200 lb safe. I have a few stairs to get the safe out of my house.

    I found the same dolly that was used by the company that delivered my safe. Sunbelt rents them.
