I never said that they don't sell other calibers or models. Different people have different preferences.The fact they don't sell ONLY 1911s is my burden of proof.
Your burden of proof would be sells figures saying they don't need DWX's, custom Berettas, glocks, etc.
You said that 1911 sales are down. Prove it. And the point you have missed, is that I have been talking about the .45 round. And more than the 1911 uses .45. The 1911 is my personal favorite because for me it is a natural aim and it is extremely reliable. But other handgun types utilize the .45 as well.
According to the ATF 657,971 pistols were manufactured in calibers larger than 9 mm in 2017. And 45,767 revolvers manufactured in calibers larger than 9 mm in 2017. Those numbers are not all .45, but they show that larger calibers are still sold in significant numbers.
