Yep shotty is a great way to go but my wife is in a wheelchair so I need something I can run one handed. I have a G45 and my KP15, and the 15 has the greatest hit probability. Plus 40 rounds dont hurt how effective it can be.

Nice set up! I’m a fan of an AR for the house, too but I think ammo makes a big difference. I like 77gr up front and nothing FMJ since I want maximum disruption if it hits the target or a wall.

Shotguns are fine, too, but an AR is more user friendly and easier for my wife to use accurately. Plus depending on your ammo it’s arguably safer when you’re considering what’s on the other side of interior walls.

Wife works from home and we live in the country. In our home we always have a handgun on top the fridge (minus company or kids being over). Long gun wise it’s normally a shotgun.

Most of the time no rifle or shotgun out.
What's in my holster on my side in the daytime
