My Traveler homeowner's insurance just jumped 32% can anyone recommend a good reputable and affordable company to replace them. I am not a veteran.

Mine did too and I shopped and shopped and shopped

no better deals to be found (at least for us… with multiple houses, multiple vehicles, umbrella liability)

I believe almost all carriers increased rates A LOT

(and I work for an insurance company… that’s the insider news I have anyway)

And… I don’t carry insurance from my employer… their costs are too high

AARP not someone I would do anything with.
Same with me… they (liberal, leftist AARP) are a no go for me

Joining saves me @ $600 on Insurance annually plus if a Karen of hardcore commie gets in my face I can pull my AARP card out and tell them to back off. Beats another trip to the crossbar hotel and bail money.

Mine went up 40% this year. No claims have been made in many years. I talked to my agent and explained that I've been a loyal customer for 30 years and this just won't work. He said he's sorry and doesn't disagree, but cannot do anything about it. He said the insurers (Allstate in my case) are losing their asses because of all the casualty claims for the last several years.

He said I can probably save money with a lower tier insurance company, but that those insurance companies are notorious about fighting claims and paying as little as possible and only as a last resort.

Just another blow to home affordability. Between interest rates, property taxes and homeowners insurance rates, it's getting tough out there.

    This has been discussed..

Texas is one of the states that has approved big premium hikes for insurance companies.
