2 3/4 is standard.

12ga goes up to 3.5 if the shotgun can handle it.

Glockster, I just double checked my box and the 100 ct birdshot boxes do have the pic of a clay breaking on them. So I'd say that's your best route. Both Walmart and academy sell them. They're even easy to come by.

You're a good man. I had been supplying my shooting buddies that didn't stock up with ammo for our range days but I've recently had to cut back on that too. It was nothing to go through 3 to 4 hundred rounds of 5.56 NATO or 7.62X39 when I was supplying myself and two buddies. What I won't do is dip into my strategic reserve so I 've had to stop supplying my friends. The current situation sucks.
