Checking in from the Hill Country. Oklahoma born, but spent most of my childhood here in Texas, and it's here that I plan to live out my years. Moved around a lot in the Army and FAA, but finally got back a little over 20 years ago. I'm a pretty old guy, retired FAA air traffic controiler, 'Nam vet, '68-'69. Flew Hueys. Only firearms the Army trusted its pilots with was a plain-Jane Colt .38 revolver. I do better than that now. Glad to be here. At my age, glad to be most anywhere.

    Welcome!

My Uncle flew Hueys, 121st, The Soc Trang Tigers 1968-69... I think he flew "Mad Tom"

What are you shooting these days?

Hi everyone, and thanks. Didn't mean to drop off, but it happens when you're older, usually about an hour after supper.

Can anyone tell me if there's a minimum number of posts before being able to reply to a PM? Haven't been able to figure out how to reply to one.

Well, I'm no longer shooting the M134 GAU-17 from my Charlie Model (sure do miss that ol' bird), or any 2.75" folding fin rockets.

But I do have a SIg 516 AR15, and also a 12½" upper for it in 300BLK. Springfield M-21 version of the M1A, POF-USA Revolution in .308. and my ol' Mini-14 185 series. Remington 870 tactical by the bed. Full size M&P9, M&P Shield9, and my EDC M&P Shield 45 with an RMRcc. Also have a Ruger LCP Max .380 that I carry sometimes, as BUG or with light clothes.

    Reload everything but the shotgun.
