Well folks, I have assembled many a gas gun but I have plunged into the R700 bolt gun game. Stumbled across this for $400:

    R700 16.5" SPS Barrel
    R700 Action
    Timney 2 Stage Trigger
    Nightforce Steel 20 MOA Rail
    AAC 51T Muzzle Brake

This rifle will be used for suppressed hunting, furthest shot is 200 yards. I'm debating between a KRG Bravo chassis or a factory R700 stock and bottom metal... Which direction should I go? If anyone has a factory stock and bottom metal laying around taking up space that would probably work too.

Hs take offs from a 5r used to be pretty easy to come by on snipershide for a time. They are a solid do all stock. I recently picked up a mc3 stock at a match thinking it was a short action but it was long. Was petty impressed with the quality for it's price.

I like chassis systems personally. I like the modularity and adjustability.

I have never found a non adjustable stock that works well for me. The ability to adjust or change parts is a huge plus.
