Welcome to the site. If new shooters, I would suggest the M&P 380ez. I assume you want 380 because either small hands or recoil sensitive. The small guns seem cool but will kick harder and usually have bad triggers. The Shield 380ez should solve those issues.

After a whirlwind of research and several rentals I settled on 3 Shadow Systems Elite models. XR 920, MR 920L and a CR 920. I purchased a couple S&W M&P 9 EZ P/C for our home defense and a couple 22LR Pistols for practice and fun. The EZ’s are great for our confidence in personal safety. Very comfortable for us both. Great suggestions for the 380’s but went with the easiest to find for ammo. Peace y’all
