Any particular sketchy areas to stay away from?

I live on the north side and like it. When I moved here I was told the south side had lots of drug issues. But I know people that live on the south side in some nice neighborhoods. So it's really hard to say which part is better than the other.

Welcome and howdy. I am actually at Canyon Lake. Putting a boat in yesterday was a two hour wait. Same to get out. It is a very deep lake, so no real problems except the visitors.
