    Without slicing yourself into ribbons?

Practicing is fraught with danger Will Robinson......

Or, have any/many of you practiced to perfection without slicing yourself up?

What's your experience, bloody or just right?

    Thanks!

I demo them for customers with regularity, although I don't carry one. It just takes a little practice to remember to swipe them...back...and out of your pocket.

Have a Kershaw with the Emerson wave on it. Not my favorite way to open a blade. I miss about 30% of the time. Ball bearing flippers are where it is at.

    Thanks all.

I too prefer flippers, but thought I'd give the wave a try.

So far, I've cut myself once and almost cut myself a number of times while practicing.

    I am getting the hang of it.........very g.d. slowly....it's a p.i.a. learning curve.

Oh, yes, I am generally co-ordinated too, but this knife opening style is a tough learn.......for me anyway.

The guy in the video probably had to practice for a very long time to get as good as he is or my knife is a lemon, probably not, but maybe.....

Thanks all for your input and help.

I may get out my fish fillet/cleaning glove made of some kind of non-cuttable material to wear while I practice.

    Yeah, I'm a persistant bastard.
