Well, you heard wrong. It was there in all its glory. I've probably seen it nearly 50 times, and I didn't notice one single omission from my old copy and what was on the screen. Though I was hoping it included all the extra scenes about Mongo. But there was no coin operated cowboy, or well diving scenes.

That is such a great film. Mel Brooks putting Gene Wilder and Cleavon Little together was genius. Honestly the whole cast did an amazing job. I read some time back that Cleavon was suffering from pretty bad stomach pains through the whole filming, ultimately died from stomach cancer.
