I use Hoppe's 9 to clean my firearms

I made the bad decision to fill some soviet oil cans with Hoppe's 9 and put them in my BOB without thinking about the strong smell ... now it stinks of gun cleaner

Is there a gun cleaning fluid that doesn't smell and can store in my BOB

I myself love the smell of Hoppe's, it has a soothing/relaxing effect on me.

    Hays Co.
Carry empty Soviet oil/solvent bottle in your BOB.
Any thing with an IC engine has oil, and gasoline, even old and crappy works just fine on an AK.

Used Rem oil growing up. That was all Gebos carried.
Then switched to #9 for years.
Last 10 years have used nothing but Frog Lube.

MPro7 has no smell and is water-based which means it cleans up easy but you have to put oil on the parts after cleaning. Slip2000 is another non-toxic and odorless product I’ve settled on for indoor gun care. Still have the Hoppes and Shooter’s Choice if I can clean outside.

I'm in the minority with my loyalty to frog lube but, @AKM47, there's no toxic smell (or effects for that matter). FL has always worked great for me.

Also, give this article a read, among an extensive rust and corrosion test, the author created an odor chart for consideration.

When it comes to (water) based cleaner I use alcohol pads, there cheap and easy to use
